The Goldacres range of Director 3PL sprayers are ideal for growers of vine and trellised crops.
These sprayers are the answer for smaller growers who still want the performance of the trailing machines, but at a budget price.

There are many theories concerning the best application method for applying chemicals on plants in trellised situations and the truth is that the application method needs to be customised to each individual property and the growth stage of the plants. This is where the Goldacres Director sprayers come into their own.
Controlling the air flow is the first of several challenges. The growth stage of the plant, the weather and the trellis conditions may dictate the need for variations in air volume. The Director sprayer's high volume, low velocity air system has an infinitely adjustable hydraulic fan to cater for every air volume requirement and can be adjusted independently of the pump speed. The added advantage of a high mounted, forward facing fan reduces debris and chemical spray being sucked into the fan and ensures a smooth airflow. The reliable fan design requires low maintenance and only a low horsepower tractor to do the job resulting in less noise and lower fuel consumption. Get just the right amount of air where you need it with less thatching and better penetration every time. The unique Goldacres Besco manifold allows the air flow to be customised to suit the growth stage of the plant as well as variations in trellis heights. The width and height of the spray nozzles can be adjusted to hit the canopy effectively from both sides, underneath and on top. Outlets can be angled forward and backward to hit the canopy from different directions, to avoid the canopy thatching common to many air blast systems.

Controlling the application rate and droplet size is just as important as avoiding thatching and penetrating the canopy. The Goldacres Besco manifold allows the installation of between 1 and 5 nozzles to suit the application rate and droplet size required. Gone is the need to sacrifice droplet quality to increase the application rate. Maintaining the optimum droplet size not only ensures that the chemicals end up where they should but also saves money in reducing the waste of lost chemicals and poor spraying results.

Controlling pump pressure is as important as selecting the right nozzle and the Goldacres system of independent pump drive ensures that you have full control of spraying pressure at all times. Diaphragm pumps are used exclusively on Director sprayers because they can be run dry without an adverse effect on the life of the pump, they handle high viscosity and abrasive liquids easily and replacement parts are cheap and easy to install.
