What is G15?

Originally developed for industry, G15 is a soft film long term rust preventative that’s designed to be used on all types of metal to create an almost impenetrable moisture barrier. This makes it the perfect product to keep your machinery rust free and resistant to agricultural chemicals. It has been proven to withstand exposure to sunlight as well as salt spray. G15 is not an oil, but a thixotropic gel, it sprays as a liquid and then solidifies as a film. It’s also non-staining and won’t dry out and can be used inside machinery as well as on metal surfaces. G15 is a water displacing, lubricant and rust preventative suitable for all metals. It is a contact inhibitor which when applied to the metal surface forms highly polar microscopic platelets, a “fish scale” like structure which provides a soft but virtually impenetrable moisture barrier.

• Is thermally stable -40ºc to + 260ºc without cracking, chipping, peeling or sagging
• Is thixotropic and therefore will not sag or run off. G15 holds onto sharp edges
• Is UV resistant and has been tested for exterior exposure under adverse conditions and has passed such tests without failure
• Has good water displacing properties
• Can be used as a general purpose lubricant
• Does not stain metal surfaces
• The application of G15 on metal surfaces will not impair welding arc or oxyacetylene or affect weld strength
